At the moment, I have blogger’s block, which is why you lucky people out there will never have the same problem  if you follow my simple guidelines. Here are 5 effective tips to a writer/blogger’s block free life.

1. Think of a funny book or movie you recently saw or read.

2. Stare out the window.

3. Google ”funny hats“.

4. Go to channel 432 or 99 on a television.

5. Study a random person on the street.

6. (a bonus tip) Write about being stuck for ideas.

Please tell me if my tips to succeed were effective for you.

Julia, I have heard many writers say they write everyday even when they don’t have much to write about. I on the other hand only write when I have something to say. That doesn’t mean what I write is important or useful, it just means that I have something to say. I think your “writer’s block” was not a block after all!

Julia the thing that I always tell my students is to write about what they experience and what they know. With the world being such a different place with so many things happening all around the world there is always, always an audience for what you have experienced and how you see things and how that can be compared and contrasted with others around the world. Our students in New Zealand are always fascinated by how students in the USA spend their spare time, what programs and sports that you have and even details like how the cafeteria runs!
