St Patrick’s day started out as a religious holiday, but in some places with large Irish populations–like the United States–many other people join in the celebration!

I know that St. Patrick’s Day is an Irish Holiday, and was originally a religious holiday. For me, it’s a day to wear green, which is my favorite color!!!!

Hey Leo,
I’m Jessica Pierce and I’m currently attending Dr. Strange’s EDM310 class at the University of South Alabama. St. Patrick’s Day was originally a Catholic holiday—St. Patrick was a bishop that converted pagans (believed in many gods) into catholics( the belief in one god). But now, you don’t have to be catholic to enjoy this great holiday, everyone can join in. And I happen to enjoy St. Partick’s Day, in my area, because of the parades that are put on.

Hello,
My name is Jenny and I am currently enrolled in EDM310. I know that St. Patricks Day has been around for years. It is a very interesting holiday you get to dress in green for the day and they have parades where I live.

Hello, I am also a student at the University of South Alabama EDM 310 (Educational Media), I know that you are always supposed to wear green on St. Patty’s day. I also know that it is a sign of respect for the nation, and since I am part Irish I love it. James Joyce is one of my favorite writers, and he was Irish, so I like St. Patrick’s day for that reason too.
