The Bungalow Mystery is a fantastic book by Carolyn Keene. This is Nancy Drew book #3. Nancy goes on a rowboat ride with a friend and the boat sinks! As soon as a new friend named Laura saves them and Nancy’s friend’s legs were numb so Nancy’s friend could not feel her legs. Later on Nancy returns to River Heights and Laura calls but gets cut off (later they realized it was Lara Pendleton). One day Nancy comes home and there she is (Laura Pendleton) and she has a story to tell. She said that they were after her mother’s jewelry that Laura had kept.  Laura said that Mrs. Aborn wanted Laura’s jewelry. So Laura climbed out her suite window and escaped to River Heights.  Now Nancy has a mystery to solve can you find it out?

On a scale from 1-10, I give this book a 10!  It was very interesting book.  Anyone who likes mysteries or Nancy Drew books this would be for them I hope you liked it.

Anne Of Avonlea is a wonderful book by L. M. Montgomery. This is the second Anne Of Green Gables book from the series. Anne is back and there are many changes throughout her life. Here are three examples of Anne’s changes. The first change is with Matthew (Marilla’s husband and Annes new father) dead it is harder to take care of the farm. The second change is Marilla adopts a boy and a girl (they are twin brother and sister) there names are Davy and Dora. The last change is Anne becomes a school teacher. Anne is still herself. She is still friends with Diana and she is now very understanding. What else is it about? You have to read the book to find out.

On a scale from 1-10, I give this book a 10! This book is more interesting than Anne Of Green Gables! I say someone who likes reading about a girl growing up I in Green Gables on Prince Edward Island in Canada would love/like this book. The next one in the series is Anne Of The Island. I hope you love the book!

Secret Of The Old Clock is the first Nancy Drew book by Carolyn Keene. Nancy is just a regular eighteen year old teenage girl until one day when a moving truck drives past this little girl (about five years old) that was falling off the bridge! Nancy saves her and figured out that her parents were dead and she was living with her aunts. She also found out that the girl’s father wrote a will but her and her aunts could never find it. The biggest thing she found out was the moving van had the little girl’s family furniture but those people in the van stole them. Nancy finally had a mystery to solve all on her own. She found the stolen furniture and in a old clock was a notebook from the little girl’s father! Will Nancy find the secret will? You have to read the book to find out.

On a scale from 1-10, I give this book a 10!  I love Nancy Drew but now I just read the first book and hoping to read the second one The Hidden Staircase.  I say that anyone who loves a good mystery would love this book. Have a good time reading!

Anne of Green Gables is a long book by L.M. Montgomery. Anne is an orphan that is not perfect (no one wants her).  The people who don’t want her don’t like her red hair, her thin body and her long small talk. One day someone wants someone just like Anne. But when she got to the place of Green Gables on Prince Edward Island  they found out the woman (Marilla Cuthbert) wanted a boy. But Matthew Cuthbert said, “The asylum made a mistake and brought her.”  So they kept her and Anne made new a friend named Diana. Anne went to a picnic, went to a concert, broke her leg, saved the day, made confessions, got a collage scholarship and then turned it down because of Marilla. One day Matthew (a nice foster father) fainted! Will Matthew Cuthbert die? You have to read the book to find out.

On a scale from 1-10, I give this book an 8. The book got boring at times but the end was more interesting. If you like realistic fiction books about orphans and Prince Edward Island, Canada, than this is a book for you. If you like Anne Of Green Gables try the second book called Anne Of Avonlea. Have a good time reading!

These Happy Golden Years is a fantastic 1800′s historical fiction book by Laura Ingalls Wilder.  Laura goes twelve miles away from home to teach for four weeks.  When she goes home on weekends she goes with Almonzo Wilder.  While she is twelve miles away from home, she lives in the Brewster residence.  Mr. Brewster owns the school and is a nice man.  His wife is a mean woman who does not make the time there fun. The last Brewster is Mr. and Mrs. Brewster’s son John but Laura calls him Johnny.  When Laura’s four weeks of school were over she went back to her family’s cozy home. Her school money was used for Mary’s (Laura’s older sister) visits home and a new organ for her family to use. One day on Laura’s drive back home with Almonzo (when she was done teaching) he asked her if she would marry him (after teaching school) and she said yes. Days after he asked if she wanted a big wedding and she said “no” then he gave some news that his sister was coming with his mother to give them a big wedding. Can they get married before his sister (Eliza Jane) and his mother come to town?  You have to read the book to find out.

On a scale from 1-10, I give this book a 10!  I say people who like the westward expansion (1800′s) era might love this book. Have a good time reading!
