The Monster in the Third Dresser Drawer is an amazing book written by Janice Lee Smith. It all started out when a boy named Adam Joshua and his parents start to move to another house. Adam Joshua gets mad because he liked his house that he has now. Like in the middle in the book Adam Joshua’s mother had a baby girl named Amanda Jane, and Adam Joshua has to share his room with her baby sister.  Adam Joshua has to share his room because Adam Joshua’s parents are painting Amanda’s room and fixing it up.  One night Adam Joshua was sleeping and he saw a monster come out of his third dresser drawer.

I liked this book because I thought this book was very interesting. On a scale to one to ten, I would rate it 10. I would recommend this book to others that like realistic fiction books.

Love you daddy is an amazing book written by Amy Hest. This book is about when a girl named Katie, who worries about her father who went into the civil war and never came back. Well it all started out on a happy day. But, it ended up sad that Katie’s father had to go into war. Katie’s family worried every day if he died or not.  After a couple of weeks Katie was nine and her father still didn’t come back. Like one year later Katie’s mom had a baby named Rossie, and by couple of weeks later all the the soldiers came home except Katie’s father.  I don’t want to spoil the book for you so maybe you should read this book on your own.

I like this book because it had drama, action and more. I would recommend this book to others that like civil war events. On a scale to one to ten, I would do a 10 because even if its a short book I still enjoyed this book.

Matilda Bone is an amazing fantasy book written by Karen Cushman. This book is about this young girl named Matilda that helps heal the sick and cures them. She’s a girl that believes in gods.  She once she healed a baby that had it’s leg broken off. The baby leg had got broken by falling off a three foot table.  She had healed a man that got super sick that he almost died. The man almost died by working on a electric spinning blade in a seven story building.

I liked this book because I like how Matilda heals people. I would recommend this book to other people that like books about gods and stuff. On a scale to one to ten I would do an eight.

Extra Credit is a good historical fiction book written by Mark Elliott.  It’s about when a girl in America called Abby is going to fail sixth grade and she does extra credit.  Also, a boy in Afghanistan called Sadeed is doing the same thing to get extra credit, but he’s not failing he’s just doing it for a project.  Well, Sadeed and Abby had to mail letters to each other to get a good grade to pass.  When Sadeed and Abby start, Abby asked how the mountains are and if he likes climbing.  When that letter got sent Sadeed read it and then wrote back saying yes that he liked climbing a bit and that she had a boyfriend. Then Sadeed sent it then they just kept on sending letters and letters.  Later in the book a man catches Sadeed with a letter from Abby, then the man cursed about how much he hated America. Then Sadeed sent a letter about why he couldn’t send letters any more because of the bad rumors about the letter from an American girl.

I liked this book because I like the way how they write letters to each other until they just can’t do it anymore.  I would recommend this book to other that like books that have history in it, but its fiction. On a scale to one to ten, I would do a 7.
