The Secret School is a book by Avi.  This book was about a fourteen year old girl named Ida Bidson.  Ida went to a one room school-house with her little brother Felix.  Her teachers name is Miss Fletcher and Miss Fletcher finds out her mom back home got very very ill.  Now Miss Fletcher has go home to treat her mom and the school has to close, because the schoolboard can’t hire a replacement teacher.  Ida is in eighth grade and really wants to become a teacher.  In order for Ida to become a teacher she must pass her exit exam letting her go to high school and then college.  If Ida doesn’t pass her exam she will have to redo the whole eighth grade.  Tom, Ida’s friend, suggested that Ida should be the teacher for the rest of the school year, but secretly. Will Ida do it?  You will have to read to find out.

On a scale of one to ten, I rate this an eleven.  This book was amazing and taught me I should do whatever I can to keep up my education.  This book was a great book and it was historical fiction.  I don’t really like historical fiction books but this was amazing!  I hope you can read it!

The Lost Hero is an amazing book by Rick Riordan about a boy named Jason who unexpectedly lands on a bus with a boy who claims to be his best friend and a girl who says she is his boyfriend but all his memory is lost.  He ends up at a school called Wilderness School where he fights some monsters and then ends up going to Camp Half-Blood with Annabeth who is freaking out because Percy, who is now her boyfriend, is missing.  When Jason, Leo, and Piper show up at camp, Leo almost immediately gets claimed to his godly parent Hephaestus and Piper does too, but Jason doesn’t.  They soon find out that Jason was already claimed by Zeus.  When they go on all sorts of adventures they find out he has powers.  They do everything they can to keep every good person alive and get home to cam safe and sound.  Do they do that?  You will have to read to find out!

On a scale of one to ten, I rate this book a ten.  It had tons of detail and was incredibly interesting.  I couldn’t put it down!  If you are interested in fantasy genre books and books about Greek gods and goddesses you would love this book along with the Percy Jackson series.

The Last Olympian is an adventurously amazing book by Rick Riordan.  This book is about a demigod named Percy and a demigod named Annabeth and their centaur friend, Grover.  When Percy finds out this thing called the Great Prophecy, the real thing he finds out he has to make a decision when he turns sixteen that will either save Mount Olympus and the whole world from total destruction or a decision that will make Mount Olympus fall to the ground because of his worst enemy Kronos Lord of the Titans.  This decision causes war and a nasty one too. Will Olympus survive or be destroyed?  Will Percy have to fight Kronos?  Who will die? All these questions will be discovered if you read the book but you have to read the whole series before this book.

On a sale of 1-10, I rate this book a 10.  This was probably the most detailed and adventurous book in the series. With the big battle of Titans and Olympians  I couldn’t put this book down I recommend this book to people who like Greek things and adventures.  This series is a need to read series.
