Rescue On The Outer Banks was written by Candice F. Ransom.  A kid named Sam Deal and his horse named Ginger liked to patrol the beaches with the surf men.  The surf men watched the sea for any sinking ships.  Sam likes to help the surf men but the surf men don’t want the help.  However, Sam and Ginger ends up taking nine men from a sinking ship and bringing them back to shore safely.  Sam wants to become one of the surf men and watch the beach.  The genre of this story is historical fiction.

I think this book is interesting because it is about a young boy and his bravery.  He wants to help others before thinking of himself.  I liked this book and I would recommend this to others that like adventure books.  I would rate this book a ten on a scale of 1-10 because it is really interesting.

Charlotte’s Web was written by E.B. White.  This story is about a girl named Fern who lives on a farm.  She makes friends with the littlest pig in the litter named Wilbur.  Wilbur makes friends with a charming, large, gray spider named Charlotte who lived in the barn with him.  Templeton the rat is very selfish and he does nothing for anyone unless it’s in it for him.  Wilbur grows up to become quite a big pig that was saved by Charlotte when she came up with idea of spinning words in her web.

The genre of this book is fantasy.  The book was ok.  I liked some parts of the book better than other parts.  I did not think this book was believable but it was good.  I would recommend this book to animal lovers and people that like fantasy books.  I rate this book a 5 from 1-10 because I didn’t love it but I would recommend it to others because it was good not great.

Who Was Amelia Earhart was written by Boehm Gerome.  It is about a woman that sets records around the world for flying airplanes for the longest time.   She was the first lady to fly around the world, but sadly her radio was having some difficulties when she was running out of fuel.  And sadly she disappeared.   This was hard for a woman aviator to do since there weren’t many in aviation.  This genre is a biography.

I would rate this book an 8 from 1-10.  I like aviation books but personally I didn’t think it was that interesting to read about someone trying to fly around the world and then die.

Who Were The Beatles was written by Geoff Edgers.  It is about four teenagers from England that get together to make the world’s best known rock band.  They become famous all over the world.  Their names are John, Paul, George and Ringo.  This book is a biography.  I liked the book very much because I’m a fan of the Beatles.  I like their music.  Even though the band is from the 60′s it is still popular today.

I would recommend this book to people who like old classic music.  On a scale from 1-10, I would rate this book a 10 because it is a very interesting book to read.

Washington Wizards was written by Richard Rambeck.   Informational; Published By Creative Education 1998

This book describes the history of the Washington Wizards pro basketball team that was called the Bullets until 1997.

One interesting fact about the NBA team is that they started in Chicago then moved to Maryland and then ended up in Washington DC.  Another interesting fact is that Wes Unseld was a player and became head coach.  The third interesting fact was that they had a 7 foot 6 inch center named Jeff Malone.

I would not recommend this book to my friends.  It was not interesting and I got bored.  The author wrote about the losing seasons they had and the coaches that left and the players that got traded.  I waited for something exciting to happen and nothing ever did.  I would score this book a three.  A person that would like this book would be someone that watches the Washington Wizards a lot.
