Diary of a Wimpy Kid: The Last Straw by Jeff Kinney, is a realistic fiction story is about a boy named Greg whose dad is trying to get Greg to do something outside like exercise. Then Greg’s dad threatens to send him to Spag Union Military Academy. So when Greg hears that, he realizes that he needs to shape up, or he’ll get shipped out! I like Greg’s little brother Manny because his parents are very strict about Manny getting teased and he never gets in trouble.It’s funny when Greg thinks of him and Holly Hills kissing. I remember when I used to be scared of a soccer ball coming toward me, like Greg. I would recommend this book for 3rd graders to high schoolers.
