Thanks Mrs. Ripp for your idea of having a map and mark all the countries we have gotten comments from. I loved your idea…and guess what we did it! Well we marked the USA, Canada, Australia, New Zeland, Uruguay, Spain, Sri Lanka, Egypt and many other countries too. Do you remember this post: “Famous People” ? MiliM wrote it. Well she wrote about famous people and guess what? we feel like them now. And I think that all the people that left comments are famous too, because i told all my friends about you, Aviva, Melody, and Doctor B, Owen, Josh, and each of you that left a comment. And i want to congratulate greta because she started all this. Thanks for teaching me greta!

That’s so nice of you to thank so many people! I am trying to teach my Grade 1 students about the importance of this too, and I think that I’m going to use your blog post as an example. They will love learning from you. It’s kind of like you can lead our class.

    Keep on blogging!

Vickucha, I am so honored by your mention. I am so glad that you put up your map, is’t it amazing how many people are out there to connect with? I am going to school today to put up my map and will have to put a pin in for Argentina since your amazing teacher commented on some of my students’ blogs yesterday. I just think it is amazing to see what you are writing, keep it up!

    Love,
    Mrs. Ripp

Your post is very thoughtful Vickucha. Recognizing the contributions of others is a mature and kind action. I feel so honored to be on your list!

You are very wise to note that Greta started it all. Teachers like Greta are the most important of all! They inspire so many students to be creative, love learning, and work hard. Your recognition of Greta’s work and appreciation for her is very kind.

Keep up the thoughtfulness….and Blogging :-)

Vickucha, my students Ciara and Rayquan told me they had read your post, and how much they liked it! They asked if we could get a map like you and Mrs. Ripp’s class have. What a great idea! I am going to make sure we get a map up this week! I am so glad you posted about it. Keep up the super work!
