As I walk through the creek in our backyard skipping stone to stone I see Robins, Cardinals, Blue Jays, and Chickadees singing while fluttering through the still, light, windless air. I know spring is coming. All of a sudden I hear a splash of water, as if something or someone accidentally flew, jumped, or stepped into the creek. It turns out that that someone is me. That was when I felt something soaking through both of my shoes and my pure white ankle socks. I looked up in distress at the leafless awakening trees, “Why did I ever come down here in the first place?!” Then I remembered for homework but forgot to bring my writing journal. Once I got the courage to look down at my shoes, I slowly and cautiously looked down. Well, it wasn’t as bad as I thought it would have been. Thank goodness I didn’t land in only mud. I landed in the almost crystal clear creek water.

There was water swirling across my shoes and my shirt had splotches of water all over. I hoped Daniel, my brother, doesn’t come around the corner any time soon since I look like a Dalmatian who jumped into water the first time. So, I climbed back up the Forsythia tunnel I found. When I got out I brushed off all the small yellow flowers off my back and hair, then I crawled into my yellow den also in the Forsythia bushes. I took off my shoes and put them in a tree facing the sun, as well as my socks. Since I couldn’t get out of my den without shoes I took a moment to look around my back yard. Well, maybe a long moment. The first thing that I saw was the Forsythia bushes bordering my huge backyard, the radiant yellow flowers pop. I also saw elegant white and yellow daffodils swaying in the wind.I pushed myself across the cold hard ground and took a sniff out of the daffodils nearest to me. It smelled like a whole factory of fresh cupcakes. Then I saw the mountains in the distance with dancing trees filled with buds. The trees’ buds are growing larger and larger every single day. One day I will look towards those mountains with the trees dancing, well,  I probably won’t even know that they are trees at all because all I will see will be green! I thought since there are buds on the trees, flowers everywhere you look, and singing birds I know its not spring is coming after all, it’s Spring has Sprung.

Here are some mounted police explaining how it is to be a mounted police. I have mounted police on my list for when I grow up! So who knows, you might see me galloping after bad guys!

Horses Horses Horses
Here is a video of some elegant, protective, helpful, and adorable horses, ponies and foals!

I go horse back riding every week on Fridays. My favorite horse to ride is Mr.Right. He is a Welsh Cob pony, a mountain pony to be more specific. He has a chesnut colored coat and loving, sparkling, and hadsome eyes. If you could have a horse what kind of horse would you like. Be specific, the coat color, the mane and tail color, the eye color, and any other personality and/or colors.
