Memorial Day is a day when people set a day to mark the end of the war or as a memorial to those who died. The first memorial day was observed by formerly enslaved black people at the Washington Race Course. Today the location is in  Hampton Park. The Race Course was used as a temporary Confederate prison camp in 1865. It is also used as a mas grave for Union Solders.

 This day was first widely obsered on May 30, 1868. It is now celebrated in almost every state on the last Monday in May. When It was observed on May 30,1868, flowers and Flags on the graves of military personnel. Many organizations, including  Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts and more. Since the end of World War I, Memorial Day has also been Poppy Day Because Volunteers distribute small. red artificial poppies.

 Americans attend Parades, Church Services, and Speeches on memorial Day. Some people visit War Monuments such as the Vietnam Veterans Memorial in Washington, D.C. That large Sculpture lists the Soldiers who died in the rie. For my family we feel bad for all the men who died. They died for all peoples freedom.

I’m Phoebe, I’m 9 1/2 years old. I have the same best friends. My animals are doing just fine, but my rabbit Sundae got a boy friend and I think Sundae is going to have babes because I read that if your rabbit had a boy rabbit in the cage and if your rabbit is taking mst of it furr off its belly. It is making a nest, so that the babes have a nice place to sleep under.

I have to build more cages for all the rabbits grow up. I try to have them get along with my other animals. I also have to build a fence to keep wolves away from my rabbit, because one time they found a way in the rabbit area and got one

My puppies are almost dogs even though they are dogs I mean bigger dogs. My dogs are not all brothers and sisters, one is a collie and the rest are rotties. My collie name is Caitlin (Cat for short) My rotties are my guard dog, if someone comes they would not let them pass. I take them for long walks all of them. I take them in the woods, I made a tree house, I used towels for bed for my dogs and a old bed that was for sale. I bring dog  food  and p-nut butter jelly sandwich for me. My animals are my best friends and my hero.

There was a 11 year old girl named Meaghan. She was born Mar.9 1999, the time was 1:21 pm. Her dream is to go to Candy Land. She is hoping to get Cookies and Cream ice cream there. When she goes there in her dream she would bring Aero and Old Navy clothes They would be fore the Winter and the Summer, because those are her favorite seasons.

Her favorite hobby are to hang out with friends and play sports. She plays soccer and basket ball. She plays soccer with her friends more than basket ball. On her b-day she spends time with her friends. She brings a big bowl of chicken wigs and bread.

She loves Christmas not only because you get presents because, you are with your family. Its time when you talk, play and go places with your friends and family. This time of year you don’t think of you, you think of other people. Thats why you want to give more than get. Meaghan’s life is all about lessons.

I was 5 years old when my mom died, I was 7 years old when my dad gave me away to another family. Now I’m 9 years old, In 5th grade and my name is Phoebe Green. My best friends are Margaret, Salamanca (Sal for short) and Ron. They are with me for everything. I live on a farm with Molly and Harry who now take care of me.

We have five cows but, one is my cow named Harry Potter, four horsees for each of us but, one is four anyone that comes over, my horse is named Hermione, one mini lop rabbit, named Sundae, four sheep named, Moody, Snape, Crouch, and Dumbledore, two goats named, Dragon and Pig, and ten ducks named, Mr. Krum, Cedric, Mr. Diggory, Mr. Ollivander, Madame Maxime, Georgia, Voldemort, Fred, George, and Neville.

My friends came over one day with six puppies and their parents.

They said, ” We found these dogs and we have no place for them, can we keep them here with you?”

I had to ask my parents but I knew they would say yes, they did! Margart couldn’t because her mom is alergic to fur. Salamanca couldn’t because their family loves to travel and Ron couldn’t because his mom just had a baby girl which the puppies would hurt the baby. I was happy to have dogs. We were going to get dogs but Molly said we had to many animals. Now we have eight dogs, they are all my dogs! I named them Nat and Debbie for the parents, Britteny, Erik, Heather, Brian, Nicole, and Caitlin for the puppies. I play with them every day when I get home from school, they help me round up the cows, ducks, and play with the rabbit. When I ride they run beside me. I have the best farm on the country side.

I read Harry Potter and the Goblet of fire, By J.k. Rowling. The main Characters are Harry Potter, Ron Weasley and Hermione Granger. Today I read about the Yule Ball, The Yule Ball is a dance, on Christmas night, It goes til midnight. Harry ask Parvati to go with him,Parvatis sister (Padma) went with Ron and Hermione went with Krum. Parvati and Padma left and went with a crowed of Beauxbatons boys, because Ron and Harry didn’t want to dance.When they left Harry and Ron were talking when they heard Hagrid say he is part-giant. Ron said” Giants are mean and all they think of doing is killing people.” Hermione said” Not all giants are mean.” Now Rita wrote a scoop about Hagrid being part-giant.
