Internet safety is a very important thing today.  Many kids give out personal information like passwords or where they live.  This is a problem because when you give out information you never know who will see it.  There are many predators on the internet looking for this information.  You should have parents permission to give out information like this.

Cyberbullying is an increasing problems with teens today.  Once they learn how to use electronics to communicate with other people they are prone to be cyberbullied or cyberbully someone else. When they communicate with someone online or over text messages they may say mean or hurtful things.  So cyberbullying is a big problem today.

In conclusion, internet safety and cyberbullying is a very important thing to be aware of.  You never know who could look at personal information.  Also, you should be careful what you say to other people on the internet.

Why would teens need a cell phone?  Many parents don’t let their kids get cell phones until they are in at least high school.  I think that many teens need a cell phone when they become old enough to be alone without adult supervision. If kids have an emergency they could easily call for help.  Many people need to have contact with their parents all the time.

On the down side, some teens have had trouble with sending mean or inappropriate text messages to friends.  This has been a growing problem over the last couple of years with more and more teens having phones.  You can prevent this from happening by not getting a phone with text messaging or a camera.  This could help them by not allowing them to send a mean or hurtful message to someone.

Either way you could choose for your teen to have a cell phone or not.  I believe that a teen should have an easy way to communicate with their friends or parents.  If you plan on getting your teen a cell phone make sure they are responsible enough to handle their own phone.
