Henrica's Blog

This is our last blog post for the year and it is really sad. I’ve had fun skyping other classes and even commenting on other people blogs. The best things that I’ve learnt through out the year is maths and reading and I learnt that reading is the key to success.

The most funnest thing that I did was athletics and creating our avartar. The other things  that we learnt was re-reading our sentences to check if it had no mistakes in it.

Through out the year we were having so much fun doing sports, swimming and most of all LEARNING. Now my 2nd favourite thing is computers. I really like this cool class because we work as a team, we learn together and we learn different things from other people in our class.

The year 5 and 6 went to the pools and we all had fun there. We even created some dress and these are one of them.

On the 24 November Wednesday we had Athletics day.

We had alot of fun that day.

My favourite one was the relay even though I didn’t join it.

The group that I was in was the Kiwi team and wore blue.

The winner was the Weka team and they were wearing red.

Even though they won we were all still happy for them because we came 3rd place.

Charting Software

This is my maths results that I have been doing through out this term.

The lowest score that I had was: 60

My highest score was: 100

The thing that I need to improve is trying to get one hundred everytime or even ninety nine.

To get to one hundred I have to practice at home and at school, that way I will get a higher score.

Hi my name is Henrica and my blog post is about our volcano hats.

The challenge was to make our own volcano hat.

The rules was to make sure that you wear your hat, has colour and is colourful.

The team was Bernie, Viola, Tyler and me.

Working together was really cool and fun.

The finished product was just putting the paper in the hat. (lava which is the paper).

Two things we did well are working as one team and colouring it in.

One thing we could do better is add some information into the hat.

In the holidays I went to Tonga for a family reunion.

While I was at Tonga my cousins and I like to play this Tongan game called 1TOLO BATO.

Every single day we always play Tolo bato.

When we first arrived to Ha’apai my ears were hurting and I couldn’t hear anything. After I could hear properly.

Before we went home to my cousins house we went to explore the place so that we don’t get lost.

While we were exploring Ha’apai we stopped at a shop to buy us a cold fizzy drink and a nice cool ice block.

Then we got to my cousins house in Tonga and I saw my favourite Uncle who came to New Zealand.

I ran to him and gave him a really big hug.

When we just got there we had a nice big feast that they did for us. their were a lot of yummy food.

For the rest of the first week when we were still there we always have a delicious breakfast every morning.

On our first Sunday at church we went to my cousins church it was really close by to her house you just have to walk there it was like only 30 steps to get there it was really fun there.

The next week when we were still in Tonga my 3 brothers had to go home, they stayed at Ha’apai for 2 weeks. They went home because they had to look after the house, their kids and wife.

The last week when we were there we had the best last week there and when we got ready to go to the airport we got into the truck and went there at 2 o’ clock pm and the airplane took long so we we had to sing for the last time inside the airport. then the airplane arrived at 4 o’clock then we said goodbye and my cousin and I were the first ones to cry.

Then we got to Tonga Tapu and it was so BORING and it wasn’t even fun like Ha’apai.

The next day we went to the airport then we got into the plane and I was so happy to go back to New Zealand plus I was feeling sad at the same time because I was going to miss my Uncle Lopeti.

1Tolo bato means a type of tongan game.
