Dina Veltri

Dina Veltri is a 6th grade ELA teacher at Mount Pleasant Middle School in Livingston, NJ. In her 10th year of teaching, Dina has learned that the most natural and authentic student writing arises when students can envision a real audience. She encourages her students to submit their writing to various publications including Kidblog, as well as writing contests. Dina advises her school’s Literary Arts Magazine which is devoted entirely to student writing, art, and photography. Dina’s proudest teaching moment was when Random House recognized her classroom as a Certified Kind Classroom.
